Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, on Friday, in Abuja, officially handed a letter conveying the donation of 15,000 hectares of land to the Federal Government for the latter’s cattle colony programme. The governor said the people and government of the state were ready for the cattle colony programme in the state. Speaking during a visit to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, Governir Bello said 15,000 hectares of land has been provided; 10,000 in Ajaokuta and 5,000 in Adavi Local Government areas, respectively, both in the central senatorial district of the state. The governor said the people of the areas have been fully sensitised and are in agreement with the policy. Responding, the Minister expressed gratitude to the governor for taking the initiative. The Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Innoson group of companies, Innocent Chukwuma, has opened up on the warrant of arrest issued against him by Lagos High Court. DAILY POST earlier reported that a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja issued a warrant of arrest on him. However, Chukwuma said the judge who issued his arrest warrant, erred in law, adding that due process ought to have been followed in his arraignment. A statement by the spokesman of Innoson Group, Cornel Osigwe, quoted Chukwuma as saying the order was done in bad faith because fair hearing was not granted to Joseph Mbadugha, his counsel. President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Socio-cultural Association, Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, has revealed that Fulani herdsmen are ready to fight to get President Muhammadu Buhari re-elected. Abdullahi Bodejo said the president is hated by Nigerians because of them. He revealed that politicians were the ones buying arms for Fulani herdsmen. Speaking with The Sun, Bodejo said: “Nobody should try to remove Buhari in 2019. All the Fulani in Nigeria today, our eyes are open. “All of us are behind Buhari; we have seen that they want to destroy the Fulani because of Buhari. “We would not allow anybody to intimidate the Federal Government or to take Buhari’s mandate; we would be ready to follow him and fight it. Orji Uzor Kalu, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and a former governor of Abia State, has expressed hope that the Igbo would be President in 2023. Kalu said Igbo can only ascend to the presidential stool after President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term elapses in 2023. Founder and leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazurike, has described the Igbo as foolish. The MASSOB founder insisted that Igbo may not become Nigeria’s president because they only fight for their pocket.
