 The wife of one of Nnamdi Kanu's co-accused has asked the federal government to release her husband - Charity Ishinwa said her husband was arrested after an invasion by officials of DSS and the Nigerian army - Charity said she has not set eyes on her husband since August 2016 when he was arrested The wife of one of the co-accused in the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has called on the federal government to release her husband.

 Charity Ishinwa told NAIJ.com that her husband, Bright 'Chimezie' Ishinwa was arrested by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) over a year.
 "My husband is in detention for one year plus; they don't want to release him to us.
 He has families, he has children; my children have not been to school since he was arrested.

 "I need his dead body, if they have killed him, they should give me his dead body, let me go an bury him well. Release my husband to me dead or alive - Nnamdi Kanu's co-accused tells DSS Charity Ishinwa said her husband was arrested after an invasion by officials of DSS and the Nigerian army.

 "The Nigerian army and the DSS they barged into his room and took him away since one year plus. They have not even brought him to court.
 "Whatever crime he committed, even if he killed someone he needs to be judged," Charity said.
 She added: "Since last year August, I and my four kids have not seen my husband, everyday they are seeking and asking of their father. Is it easy for me?" Release my husband to me dead or alive -

 XENDER NEWS gathered that Bright Chimezie was arrested in August 2016 following allegations of his involvement with Nnamdi Kanu and the activities of the IPOB.\
 However, a Federal High Court sitting in Uyo in its ruling on an application filed by the IPOB against the DSS over the violation of Bright's fundamental right ordered the immediate release of the pro-Biafra agitator. The court in its ruling in June 2017 also ordered the DSS to pay N5 million compensation to the agitator and his family.
